THE stars are out in force ahead of Sunday's Golden Globes Awards. Last night, in New York, Michelle Williams (in Oscar de la Renta), Sofia Coppola (in Gucci), Blake Lively (in Marchesa) and Jennifer Garner (in Roland Mouret), all trod the red carpet at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York for the National Board of Review Awards.

WHILE most of us spent the Christmas and New Year's breaks snuggled up against Britain's frozen temperatures, on sunnier shores in the Caribbean and Florida, models, rock stars and royalty were soaking up the sun.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and beau Jason Statham, Salma Hayek, and Chloe and Philip Green chose celebrity favourite St Barts for their winter break, while Alice Dellal and Charlotte Casiraghi sunned themselves on Ipanema beach in Brazil and Rihanna returned to her native Barbados.

Elsewhere, Chloe Sevigny showed some impressive commitment to styling in Miami with an array of cool cover-ups and accessories, while Naomi Watts wore Breton stripes in Sydney.
