The latest celebrity couple to get engaged is beauty queen and news station anchor (not to mention actor Chase Crawford's sister) Candice Crawford and NFL star Tony Romo. Yes, as in Jessica Simpson's ex. And because it's her ex, everyone is associating her with this really great news that should be about Candice and Tony, who have been dating since the summer of 2009. They're all How does Jessica feel about it? Um, how about, who cares?!
The exact same thing happened when Jessica's ex-husband Nick Lachey and his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo announced their engagement (and geezus, it's been five years since the Newlyweds days -- time to move on, people).
If I were Vanessa or Candice, I have to say, I'd be a little pissed that my boyfriend's ex is stealing my thunder.
Not that Jess is doing it on purpose -- it's the media that splashes these headlines. But she sure didn't help matters when she coincidentally got engaged herself immediately following NIck's proposal. Now that another ex has put a ring on it, I can't help but wonder if she and fiance Eric Johnson will suddenly tie the knot in an impromptu Vegas wedding.
Announcing your engagement to the world is a really big moment in a couple's life, and shouldn't be overshadowed by a previous relationship. The former couple has obviously moved on, why haven't we? Critics have even gone as far as saying that Candice eerily resembles not just Jessica, but another ex of Tony's, Carrie Underwood. It's called having a "type." He clearly likes beautiful blondes -- why make it a bigger deal than it is?
Clearly, the media is just trying to dig up any drama that they can possibly find because no one likes to hear about a happy ending (our society is so pessimistic!). Whether this couple stays together forever or divorces within a year, they still at least deserve to enjoy their engagement moment.
Congratulations to the adorable couple!
Does it annoy you when the media tries to create drama when there's clearly none there? What do you think about Tony's engagement
My Boyfriend Is Obsessed With My Orgasm -- HELP!
Question: My boyfriend is OBSESSED with making me cum, finding my G-spot, etc., and it bothers me. I don't need to cum every time, and he thinks that's messed up. I've started faking a lot, and now he expects these dramatic orgasms every time. Should I come clean or should I just stop "finishing"?

Why Was My Fiance's Ex at My Wedding? At the Altar!
You've heard the old adage: keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I'll do you one better. I keep my friends close and his ex-girlfriends closer. So close, in fact, that my husband's first girlfriend was the maid of honor in my wedding.
Ten years after the wedding, it's a story that still raises eyebrows. "You what? She what?" And so I launch into the story. I moved to my husband's town just two months before our wedding, and got a job at the local newspaper. Day one on the job, I met a woman about my age, and we laughed the morning away. Then I went home for lunch.
"I met this girl," I told my fiance. "She seems nice. Maybe you know her?" Then he dropped the bomb. "Remember that girl I told you I dated my senior year? That's her." She wasn't what I pictured. When I first heard he dated some girl named Elena, I'd had a picture of a voluptuous Russian girl with blond hair and a fur coat in my brain. Yes, I let my imagination run away with me. I'm a writer. That's what I do.
They lived in southern Virginia where people would probably yank out a gun if they saw a fur coat. And it turned out her name was actually Alaina. She was dark haired, dark eyed, and skinny as a rail, and when I returned from lunch still mulling over this new twist, she pulled me aside and said we had to talk.
"If we're going to be friends," she said, "I have to tell you something." You can guess what came next. The fact that both were easy, open, and honest about it practically begged me to take her up on the offer of friendship. That and the fact that I knew absolutely no one in town -- least of all a girlfriend to talk to.
Fast forward two months, and we were planning our wedding at warp speed in part because the priest who had agreed to marry us had learned we were "living in sin" and wanted to end that little bit of evil as soon as he could. I was eight hours from my hometown, my best friend couldn't come to the wedding, and I had no one to help me ... except Alaina. She threw herself into helping me make table decorations and crafting bouquets from silk flowers. And when I asked her to stand up on the altar to see her one time boyfriend say "I do," she said, "I will."
It was that simple. Or maybe not.
It was simple for us because their time together happened in high school. He was older, he left for college, and that was that. There was no complicated romance, no love triangle. And for the record, no, they never slept together.
I wonder at times if that would have even mattered. I'm not just the type to let her imagination run away with her. I'm nosy. Uber nosy. And I was marrying a guy I'd been dating mostly long distance, who grew up in a town I'd just moved to. He's a quiet, reserved guy, not the type to tell tall tales of his childhood. This being before the days of Facebook, I had no access to thousands of tagged photos to walk me through his youthful indiscretions, no easy access to old classmates. And his guy friends were of no help. "What? He, you know, hung out," they told me. Yeah, him and every other guy in America. They "hung out." I needed dirt, and I needed someone who had no qualms about giggling over the silly stuff.
Ex-girlfriends tend to bring out the jealous streak that we all have -- not women but human beings. We're afraid of getting too close to them and finding in them something better than what we have. I don't look at it that way. That she is an ex means I've already won. He chose me. He thinks I'm "better." It helps that I'm not the jealous type. In 10 years of marriage, there has been just one woman who made me nervous. And I can't help but blame a portion of the jealousy on the fact that I was pregnant, the size of a house, and raging with hormones.
What an ex-girlfriend can offer us is a look at our guy before he met us, insight into who he is and why he is that way. And when he drives is a little nutty, there's no one better to commiserate. Are you friends with his ex?

This is not what Demi Lovato needs right now.
The 18-year old singer, who has been in a rehab facility battling numerous personal issues since early November, is at the center of a Twitter picture controversy.
A pair of racy photos have been leaked online, both of which depict Lovato playing around with friends and pulling down her black bra for the camera. Are they relatively harmless? Yes.
But like Miley Cyrus and her recent bong controversy, young celebrities simply have to learn to be more careful when placed in certain situations. It really isn't that difficult. Check out Demi's scandalous photos below.

Lo Bosworth and Scott Hochstadt: It's Over!
rth
Lo Bosworth and Scott Hochstadt have called it quits. (P.S. That's Lauren Conrad's BFF from The Hills and her boyfriend, who you never knew existed)
After two and a half years together, the sad split went down Tuesday, right before businessman Hochstadt, attended a Family Guy DVD launch party.
The duo first stepped out together in summer 2009. On July's series finale of The Hills, Bosworth agreed to move in, with Scott hinting at a proposal.
"They are at different places in their lives. They are taking it slow as friends. Scott loves her family, she loves his family, and all their friends are heartbroken.
"But in the end, they couldn't make it work anymore."
Sounds a lot like Ryan and Scarlett, doesn't it?

What went wrong for Lo and Scott?
"They had talked about getting engaged quite a bit," the source concedes. "But over the last couple of weeks it really unraveled. The age difference was a lot."They are at different places in their lives. They are taking it slow as friends. Scott loves her family, she loves his family, and all their friends are heartbroken.

Calgary's Kelly Oxford the latest Twitter denizen to go Hollywood Read more: http://www.canada.com/entertainment/Calgary+Kelly+Oxford+latest+Twitter+denizen+Hollywood/3983302/story.html#ixzz18SUmnWVP
Canada's Kelly Oxford is the latest Twitter denizen to go Hollywood, with a TV pilot based on her life as a parent having been officially picked up by CBS.
The half-hour sitcom, tentatively titled The Mother of All Something, is being penned by the Calgary woman and counts actress Jessica Alba and Will & Grace scribe Jhoni Marchinko as producers.
"I know I'm going to be under the microscope for a while, which isn't the best feeling," says Oxford, in her first interview about the project. "But the entire process is really exciting. The possibility of an actual stay-at-home mom writing a family show is pretty cool."
Oxford's sardonic humour has earned her more than 66,000 followers on Twitter - including Alba, who used the social media site to contact her about working on a project together.
"She wanted a script written by a woman that was funny, and liked my voice," recalls Oxford. "So I told her: 'I did write something. I wrote this pilot.'"
Oxford had been collaborating on the sitcom with Marchinko, a mentor, for some time. CBS picked up the pilot in September but is only just going public with the news.
"Networks don't usually announce this sort of stuff because it's like saying you're two seconds pregnant," says Oxford. "But because Jessica is involved and I'm online and Jhoni is involved, it's more of a high-profile project."
The pilot is currently in rewrites, with no casting announcements having been made. But it's safe to say Oxford won't be playing herself on the show.
"I'm just going to be the writer," she says, laughing nervously. "Writers don't usually get talked about."

Mila Kunis Says Kissing Natalie Portman Was Easy
Black Swan is becoming one of the most talked about movies of the year. There’s Oscar buzz for Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, an abstract film open to many different interpretations, and a racy love scene between the two stars. Kunis plays the ambitious understudy to a prima ballerina (Portman), and in one scene seduces her.
“Any time that you do any intimate scene on film it's going to be a little uncomfortable whether it's the same sex or opposite sex,” Kunis said. “I think the great thing about this was that Natalie and I were actually lucky enough to be friends prior to production which made it all a lot easier. We didn't really discuss it very much. We just kind of did it. It made sense for the character. It wasn't put in for shock value. It wasn't something that we needed to justify in our heads as to why we were doing it and that was it, but the truth of the matter is that we were friends before we started it. So with that it made it a lot easier.”
Darren Aronofsky directed the movie about the pressures of the ballet world. Kunis knew he wouldn’t film an all female love scene unless it was important to the film. “I trusted him so it's one of those things where whether you have a same sex scene or a scene with the opposite sex, a sex scene nonetheless there's always a fear that you're a little uncomfortable. Doing something like this with Darren is very safe and as comfortable as something like this could be. I personally never had a fear of being exploited.”
Black Swan opens Friday.

Sweet guy, strange life
Dorff as Johnny Marco in Somewhere.
Stephen Dorff has Sofia Coppola and his late mother to thank for his latest role, writes Stephanie Bunbury. 3,1Stephen Dorff, who stars in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere as Johnny Marco, a Hollywood actor whose 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning) seems more mature than he is, admits to having had his own bad-boy moments.
“I remember when I was 18 or 19 I was plastered over magazines for Backbeat and other movies I did," he says. "I thought I was the coolest thing.
"There were girls; it was like a dream for a young person. But it can be such a fantasy you forget what real life is, so in that way I can understand Johnny.

“I think he would rather have been in a Sofia Coppola movie but somehow he's got a lot of attention and I think he's self-medicating, going from one day to the next, missing the family he had before he became this star.”Dorff, 37, says he feels old by comparison but is not immune to such feelings.
“I don't know about everybody but for me acting is a very lonely profession," he says. "I can sit here with reporters all day and feel like I'm busy; tomorrow there's more and then, in a week, it will all end. The same for a movie: for three months, I'm with all these incredible people Sofia assembles and get close to them, then it ends.
“You go back to your house; I don't have a job because my job is to make movies so until they offer me a movie I want to do, I'm really just sitting round. I visit my grandma; I play the piano; what do I do now? You go do another story; maybe you have to interview Catherine Deneuve next. But an actor's life is strange.”
Coppola says she started seeing Dorff in the role when she was writing the script. “He's a sweet guy and has a lot of heart," she says. "The character is so flawed he could be really unlikeable so you have to have someone who can make him likeable.”
Dorff saw the role as destiny. He was at a crisis point in his life – his mother Nancy had died after suffering with cancer for two years – and he was keen for more satisfying roles than his recent string of villains.
Coppola offered him the part, he says, the day his mother died. Her timing was so perfect that he still believes his mother had a hand in it. “She could have anybody playing this part," he says. "Literally anyone she wanted. I don't believe in coincidence. Things happen the way they are supposed to happen.
“The fact that Sofia gave me this film on the day of my mum's passing meant I felt I had to now pick myself up and make her proud. The last thing I'd want my mum to think is that I'm going to fall into a Johnny Marco tailspin and end up in the tabloids arrested for something stupid.”

A Nursery Bright Enough to Banish Gray Skies
Several weeks ago, during my daily blog travels, I came across this super-bright nursery on Joy Ever After. I immediately made a note to share it with you -- and today's the day! The sky is so dreary right now that I could use a jolt of color to get my creative juices flowing, and I thought you might be in the same boat.
When Gina and Robbie were preparing this playful nursery, they didn't know what gender their baby was. So they made a bold decision. Instead of creating a "gender neutral" feel with pale neutral colors, they went in the opposite direction and put together a bright and dramatic -- but still gender neutral -- room. Plus, they managed the whole thing on a tight budget.
I think this is hands down the brightest bedroom I've come across! Take the tour and see if you agree.
The walls are painted in two solid colors. They used Valspar paint: Tangerine on two walls and Bayside on the other two.
Each piece of furniture is a hand-me-down item that Gina and Robbie refinished to create a matching set. They sanded it all down, painted it white, then added new dresser knobs to match the baby bedding.
I love the surprise color you see when you open the drawers. (If these dressers were in my house, I would be tempted to leave the drawers open all the time to show off my mad painting skillz.)
For bedding, they picked Summersault Geo Brights from Target and picked up the matching valance as well.
For the garland, they sewed stacks of felt circles to mimic the bedding, then strung them on a rope with clothespins.
The frames above the crib are the same frames they used as wedding decorations. Gina said, "It was really neat to turn around and use them for our baby's room 9 months later!" They painted the frames in bright shades and they were good to go.
They also installed a new white ceiling fan and added two lamps and a fresh, lime green rug.
It took Robbie and Gina a solid month to paint and refinish the furniture. She says, "It was A LOT OF WORK, but it was fun and so worth it. We are exceedingly pleased with the results!"
I can see why, Gina! I would be pleased too. : )
What do you think, Dear Readers? Would you ever go for a super-bright bedroom in your home?
Charlie’s Angel Jaclyn Smith Reaches 25 Year Milestone In Style
Although she may not have a swish studio in the arty world of the famous designers such as Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Alexander McQueen, in New York’s Meat Packing district, Jaclyn Smith has managed to reach a quarter of a century milestone as a designer for Kmart.
The beautiful former Charlie’s Angels star has made a career of brining a style line of fashionable and affordable clothes to women throughout the USA and as the one of the first celebrity designers Jaclyn has always been there to help design the styles for her label rather than just lending her name to other people’s designs.
Amy Dimond tells StyleList, “She updates her collection each season by working with the over 200 designers in Soho. “If you look at her white shirt, she does one each season you can follow the trends over 25 years through her white shirt design.”
The 62 year old has realized that the white shirt, black trousers, a classic pullover sweater, a charmeuse blouse, knit separates, the sheath dress, the trench coat and leather are the basics of any woman’s wardrobe and every year she comes up with a new variation on the garments
Lady Ga Ga Conforms….To ‘Dress Down Friday!’
Friday has, in recent years, become known as the ‘dress down day’ at work, but Lady Ga Ga took it to a new low last week!
Time was a celebrity had to have some modicom of decorum when it came to public appearances, even Boy George and Madonna didn’t go to the extremes Lady Ga Ga has stooped to in a bid to be noticed, well, not at a public sports event anyway!
Apart from being boozed and deshevelled, the 24 year old singer arrived sporting a Yankee’s shirt and little else last week to the Subway Series opener in Yankee Stadium, New York.
The boundary pushing blonde showed little modesty, exposing her underwear, stockings and flesh to all and sundry last Friday afternoon.
The flambouyant shocker took style and fashion to an all new low and is rumoured to have now been banned from the Yankee’s clubhouse for any furture games
After George Michael Faced the Judges, Now He Could Become a Judge Himself!
Posted under Free for All & Simon Cowell & George Michael & wham!
Following his eight week sentence in Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, it seems that unlike most imprisoned celebrities who’s careers take a plunge after incarsoration for drug offences, George Michael’s career is about to hit the high spots once again as he is rumoured to be considered for a place on the judge’s panel on American X Factor.
Simon Cowell, 51, is believed to have asked the 47 year old talented half of WHAM! to join the judges after he was seen going into George’s London home in November. The sighing has also sparked rumors they were on the brink of signing a new music and TV deal.
A source close to the music mogul said George would be ideal as he has a high profile in both the States and Britain. Simon has always been a huge fan of George’s. His knowledge of the music industry is immense and he would be the perfect mentor for any up-and-coming artist,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
Provo Tabernacle Fire Spurs Letter to God
Fire broke out in the historic Provo Tabernacle in Utah early this morning, causing the main roof of the second story to collapse. It is still unclear, although the four walls were still standing after the fire was put out, if the red brick Mormon building can be saved.
The gorgeous tabernacle featured wood benches and stained glass windows handcrafted by settlers, as well as peaks, gables, winding staircases, balconies, and a ceiling crisscrossed by heavy timbered beams. The 1880s building was renovated in the 1980s, clearly a monument built by some seriously God-loving people.
God, where were you last night? How could you let this happen?
Dear God,
Why weren't you watching over this house made for your very own worship last night? And right before your son's birthday, too? Right before 200 performers were all set to tell the story of Jesus' birth set to music? Wouldn't that have been nice?
Well, I'm sure you had a good excuse for missing this one. Probably plenty of other critical things to tend to last night. Like maybe dealing with this DMV employee who's trying to take over your job. Or trying to sort out the ongoing "Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays" debate about Jesus' birthday (oh wait ... birthday? I guess that depends ... we'll come back to that). We know it must be exhausting listening to Sarah Palin's prayers about becoming the next President. And then there was this eyebrow-raising Man of the Year nonsense. Yeah, we're human, and we don't even get it.
In any case, we know you have much to tend to from your post, and we know some things are just, you know, your will and all, which basically we can't question.
The cause of the fire was not determined and the investigation is just beginning. All we know is the performers were the last ones in the building late Thursday evening ... When asked what might have started the fire, Mayor John Curtis said: "There are no suspicious points right now."
But we know you know what happened, God, and we also figure you must know what you're doing. Or not doing, in this case.
Sincerely,
God-loving people
SPLIT: And Its More Than Just Elizabeth Hurley’s Dress This Time!
Posted under Free for All & Hugh Grant & elizabeth hurley
‘Tis the season to be jolly’ and it would appear to be single too. The three and a half year marriage of Elizabeth Hurley to husband, Arun Nayar, is believed to have ended this week amid a blast of publicity citing her relationship with the 41 year old Australian cricketer, Shane Warne.
Liz, hit the news back in 1994 when she garnered substantial media attention for wearing a black Versace dress merely held together by gold safety pins to the 1994 premier of Hugh Grant’s Four Weddings and a Funeral, was far less public about her marriage break up when she revealed that the couple actually parted more than two months ago.
Making use of modern technology and communications, Miss Hurley felt that it was appropriate to announce the break up on Twitter where she wrote, ‘“Painful, sad days. Arun & I separated for private reasons but FTR (for the record) he has been a great father to our son Damian & will always be in his life.”
Kim Kardashian BiographyCurvaceous fashionista Kim Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. Born of Armenian descent, Kardashian’s late father was OJ Simpson’s defense attorney Robert Kardashian. She has nine brothers and sisters, including three full siblings, two half-sisters, three step-brothers, and one step-sister. Kardashian’s step-father is 1976 Olympic Games gold medalist, Bruce Jenner, father of Princes of Malibu star Brody Jenner. The Kardashians took part in the TV reality show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" staring Kim and her sisters and stepsisters as well as her mom and former Olymian stepdad Bruce Jenner. Growing up in an affluent Los Angeles family, Kardashian received a car for her sixteenth birthday. Unlike her friends, however, Kardashian found herself cut off by her parents at age eighteen, as they wanted to instill a work ethic in their daughter. Kardashian befriended such socialites as Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, and Nicole Richie. Later on, these friends would also become some of her top clients when she founded the upscale Calabasas fashion boutique "Dash," along with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe. Prior to opening her own store, Kardashian sold some of her top designer duds on e-bay. In 2004, twenty-three-year-old Kardashian divorced from her husband, R&B producer, Damon Thomas. Much of Kardashian’s post-divorce romances with high-profile celebrities would prove to place her in the headlines, including relationships with Diddy, The Game, and Nick Lachey, shortly following his 2005 split from Jessica Simpson. In early 2007, a sex tape hit the Internet starring Kardashian and boyfriend at the time, Ray J, little brother to Brandy Norwood. Although Kardashian admitted to the existence of the tape before it went public, she denied orchestrating the release of the tape for profit, claiming "I don’t need the money." Adult film company, Vivid Entertainment, purchased the tape from an unknown source for $1 million, and reportedly plans to release the tape on DVD before February 28, 2007, under the title Kim Kardashian Superstar. The tape has also been posted on Kimksuperstar.com, and can be seen for a fee. When notified of Vivid Entertainment’s distribution of the video, a rep for Kardashian said Kim would be taking legal action against anyone responsible for distributing the video. Kardashian and Ray had long since split, and the rapper had since been romantically linked to Lil’ Kim and and Whitney Houston. Kardashian featured on the cover of Complex magazine's February/March 2007 issue and went on to be Hugh Hefner's Playboy magazine covergirl for December 2007. In 2007 Kim begun shooting season two of her family’s hit reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians. Ever in demand for fashion shoots and products, Kim was signed as the model and spokesowman for Bongo jeans in 2008. It’s rumored that her body was a little too voluptuous for Bongo, hence some photoshopping occurred in the ads. In August 2008 Kim Kardashian added yet another role to her ever increasing resume, Dancing Queen, as she competed in the new season’s reality TV show, Dancing With The Stars!Kardashian began her dancing on September 22nd with professional dancer Mark Ballas but before the start of the show Kim was nursing a cut foot that had seen her taking a visit to the hospital. Then on Good Morning America she revealed that she would battle on regardless and would be taking to the dance floor. But despite her dance partner, Mark’s dancing prowess he couldn’t make the rhythm retarded Kim lose her stiff dance style and take them to the finals. In fact the couple were eliminated in the first three weeks of the show. After being thrown off Kim ran back stage in tears to be comforted by her family. Kim’s 28th birthday saw her celebrating with boyfriend Reggie Bush at the Alabama medical center this year when he was hospitalized with a knee injury. But determined not to completely miss the big day, Kim and Reggie celebrated a few days later, hosting a party at LAX nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Calgary's Kelly Oxford the latest Twitter denizen to go Hollywood Read more: http://www.canada.com/entertainment/Calgary+Kelly+Oxford+latest+Twitter+denizen+Hollywood/3983302/story.html#ixzz18SOIeejS

Disney’s 'Tron' Remains Pinnacle of Hollywood Convergence
'Tron' married video games and Hollywood right in a way that most of Hollywood still hasn't figured out.
When it comes to the convergence of video games and Hollywood, Tron was the first example of Hollywood getting it right. And in many ways, Hollywood hasn’t learned from this perfect marriage of game and film. At least, most of Hollywood.
Although the original Tron movie didn’t have a blockbuster theatrical run, the arcade game that was designed by Jeff Bridges’ Kevin Flynn in the movie became a hit in the real world. That game makes a return in the 3D sequel, Tron: Legacy.
The Walt Disney Company, which has explored previous Tron sequels in the video game space with titles like Tron 2.0: Killer App, has invested heavily in its latest convergence project. Disney Interactive Studios enlisted two developers to create a pair of video games that do more than just allow mainstream audiences and fanboys to jump on a light cycle or pilot a light jet.
Tron: Legacy director Joe Kosinski and producers Steve Lisberger and Sean Bailey worked closely with Disney and developers Propaganda Games (Tron: Evolution) and N-Space (Tron: Evolution – Battle Grids) to create these games that bridge the 28 years between the two films and delve deeper into the mythology that’s only touched upon in the new 3D film.
“I like the fact that the games in some ways are a visual and a narrative test bed for Hollywood, where some of the more far-out ideas can be experimented with on a somewhat smaller scale than having to ratchet them all the way up to a film like Tron: Legacy,” said Lisberger. “I think that’s a good relationship between games and films.”
Tron: Evolution -- Battle Grids for Wii offers a different story line that is set closer to the Tron of 1982, which is a more colorful world than the darker universe of Tron: Evolution and Tron: Legacy. The gameplay focuses on the action that takes place on the Grid with light cycles, tanks, and other vehicles and is aimed at the more mainstream Nintendo audience.
Tron: Evolution, which is available for all other game platforms, features the voice acting and likeness of Olivia Wilde as Quorra, James Frain as Jarvis, and Bruce Boxleitner as Tron. The game begins in 1990 and chronicles the progression of the computer world from the utopia that Jeff Bridge’s Kevin Flynn envisioned to the dystopia that is the setting of Tron: Legacy.
“When you watch the movie you will see flashbacks of a young Sam Flynn around this time and the game shares a couple of those scenes,” said Jeremy Miller, character art director at Propaganda Games on Tron: Evolution. “By playing the games, fans will learn out a lot of interesting back story, including the fall of the ISOs—a race of programs that play a major role in the Tron mythology.”
Players take on the role of a program created by Flynn, operating just under Tron, assigned to resolve a problem that’s occurring in the system. Gameplay involves both on-foot exploration and light cycle action. Bailey said that gamers will be able to get quality time playing with all of the vehicles that are shown in the new film, as well as learn more about the back story of the key characters.
“I had done all this work on Quorra’s back story while we were shooting Tron: Legacy, and when they said the videogame would take place in between the first Tron film and Legacy, I realized I was going to be able to use so much of the research I did on her past to create this younger version of her.”
Tron: Evolution offers an online multiplayer component for players to take part in the “games” from the film. And the PlayStation 3 version of the game is playable in stereoscopic 3D.
“I think games like Tron: Legacy have a great opportunity to use 3D technology to create a much more immersive experience for the consumer,” said Bob Iger, president and CEO, The Walt Disney Company. “When you use new technology to make something that is more compelling for the consumer, then they want more of it. They want to watch it more, play it more, and buy it more.”
Kosinski, who played the original Tron game at the arcade, believes 3D games like Tron: Evolution will help pave the way for Blu-ray 3D adoption in the home.
“You can already play Blu-ray 3D and 3D games on PlayStation 3, so games are a great way to get the technology into the home,” said Kosinski. “Games and movies are very different experiences and it's great to have one leverage the other into the home theater environment. I think there's room for both and I can't wait to play the Tron game in 3D myself.”
The world of TRON has always been intertwined with the video game world. Bridges played a video game designer and owner of Flynn’s arcade in the first film. Bridges has watched video games become a mainstream form of entertainment and was an active participant during the arcade age.
“I remember playing the original Pong 35 years ago when that first came out on the set of Rancho Deluxe,” said Bridges. “Harry Dean Stanton and I would play that game every night at the local bar. I also played the arcade games that we had on the set of Tron like Space Invaders, Asteroids and Pac-Man. Then seeing the Tron game later on at real arcades was something else. It’s amazing how far games and technology have come since then.”
With the new video games out and the 3D film preparing for its global launch, Disney is already thinking about what’s next for Tron.
“We’ve talked about a sequel and we have some beginning thoughts, but we didn’t hold anything back for this film,” said Bailey. “It’s really hard to make a good movie, and we put everything we had into this one.”
“I think Tron has the potential to become a real franchise,” said Iger. “Right now the focus is on launching a great movie and a great video game, and then hoping that the people out there agree with us. If they do, we have the ability as a company to basically turn something that’s successful in one medium or two into a true franchise. And we’re fully prepared to do that with Tron.”
With no arcades around these days, fans can jump onto the Grid and engage in online light cycle action, partake in the new discs of Tron, and explore the rich mythology of the film universe on any gaming platform.
Kim Kardashian BiographyKari Byron Biography She’s that adorable and friendly redheaded assistant on the popular Discovery Channel television program Mythbusters. But besides being a more or less reality TV star, few may know that Kari Byron is also a prominent artist based in San Francisco, California. Kari Bryon was born on December 8, 1974, in San Francisco, and after high school attended San Francisco State University, majoring in sculpture and film. In May of 1998, she graduated with honors with her Bachelor of Arts degree. After college graduation, Byron was involved in working on several notable art projects, traveled to Southeast Asia to go backpacking, and worked various odd jobs, such as a secret shopper for a known liquor company. However, Byron remained a relatively unknown personality until she was offered the chance to regularly appear on the popular show Mythbusters, a reality-based TV program focusing on building projects to scientifically and actively test (and ultimately, to disprove) popular myths. The show stars Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage as the hosts. After Byron repeatedly showed up at Hyneman’s workshop looking for a job, Peter Rees, the show’s producer, asked her to help out with a particular project—regarding the vacuum plane toilet myth—which led to more guest appearances and then regular appearances in the show’s second season. Byron has since been mostly working with Mythbusters team members Grant Imahara and Tory Belleci. However, Byron maintains that she is truly an artist at heart; particularly, through the art form of sculpting, in which she most often uses materials such as polymer clay, metals, wood, acrylic gouache, and other materials and objects. Byron made her solo art exhibit debut, Stray Doll, in 2004 at the famous Anno Domini, a contemporary art gallery located in San Jose, California. Anno Domini was launched by graphic designers Brian Eder and Cherri Lakey, and has featured the work FriendMakers, a joint effort by artists Keith Knight, Michael Sieben, and Don Pendleton. In June 2006, Byron was featured in a four-page spread of the American version of the popular monthly men’s magazine FHM, founded by Chris Astridge, and more than once, Byron has been invited by David Letterman to guest appear on his show, The Late Show with David Letterman. Byron also has a pierced tongue, which can sometimes be seen when she’s featured on Mythbusters, and is also a vegetarian. Byron has cited some of the SECCA (also known as the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art) award winners as the artists responsible for her inspiration. Lara Dutta to star in Don 2
Icy winds started blowing the minute Priyanka landed on the Berlin airport. An insider revealed, “Lara was already there a week before PC. The two barely exchanged hellos with frosty smiles before they directed their warmth to SRK and the director Farhan Akhtar.”
These two beauties have had a long history. The two were crowned as Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year. They both started their career with the same movie Andaaz. Lara portrayed a role of grieving widow and had the author backed role, but it was Priyanka who walked away to stardom and the plum assignments with Khiladi No.1, Akshay Kumar. Since then, Lara has steered clear of working with PC, sources say that she was hesitant to sign Don 2 as well.
When Farhan assured her that he would flesh out her role, only then she agreed to sign the film. Also, SRK has a soft spot for Mahesh Bhupatis latest girlfriend, ever since she acted in his home production Billu, a part that every actress had refused.
Even without their past differences, things between them will never be easy. In Bollywood, whenever any two actresses shoot together, there is stress on the sets. The list of worries is endless; it starts from who has the better room, better fee, better clothes and it ends at better scenes. Piggy Chops was already wary, exhausted, and edgy when she reached Berlin a week after her former friend and now a rival had got comfortable with the unit. Over here Lara clearly has a head start.
These two divas have come face to face after six years and are not ready to act like the long lost friends. The biggest fact that they have uneven roles is enough reason for them to be suspicious about each other. One is promised to be the leading lady and the other has been promised an important role. The insecurities have already started to surface with both the ladies wanting to stay in their own corners for as long as they can.
A close source revealed, “To start with, their roles are unequal. If you see Eesha Koppikhar’s role in Don you will know what Lara is supposed to play. Priyanka has had a stressful dubbing and shoot, which she had to complete in two days. In addition, there was a section in the industry who wanted to demolish her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. She is left in a depressed state of mind. The last thing she would want in Berlin is stressful ambience
Imraan and Avantika will get married on Jan 8
A close source to the actor revealed, “Though it is exactly two months away, the preparations are in full swing. Those on the guest list were sent SMSes or told on the phone to keep themselves free on January 8 from 5 pm to 5 am. The message stated that a formal invite of the wedding card would follow later.”
The source added, “As it was Diwali, it was considered an auspicious occasion to start with the invitations.” The Malik’s are telling everyone to keep themselves free on the wedding day. They are going to have dusk till dawn bash for their wedding.
The nephew of Aamir Khan had his engagement party with a brunch, followed by the ceremony and dinner in the evening. For this occasion he gifted Avantika a Volkswagen Beetle. The engagement invite was in the shape of a metal box, which had a bottle full of sand. The invite was rolled inside the bottle.
Imraan has always been very open about his relationship with Avantika. They were amongst the few people who were invited for the opening of Arjun Rampal’s nightclub in Delhi and a toast was raised for them
