‘Tis the season to be jolly’ and it would appear to be single too. The three and a half year marriage of Elizabeth Hurley to husband, Arun Nayar, is believed to have ended this week amid a blast of publicity citing her relationship with the 41 year old Australian cricketer, Shane Warne.

Liz, hit the news back in 1994 when she garnered substantial media attention for wearing a black Versace dress merely held together by gold safety pins to the 1994 premier of Hugh Grant’s Four Weddings and a Funeral, was far less public about her marriage break up when she revealed that the couple actually parted more than two months ago.

Making use of modern technology and communications, Miss Hurley felt that it was appropriate to announce the break up on Twitter where she wrote, ‘“Painful, sad days. Arun & I separated for private reasons but FTR (for the record) he has been a great father to our son Damian & will always be in his life.”
