Tuesday (February 13):
We break the story of the much-married Aditya Panscholi's midnight scuffle with Kangana Ranaut in Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri, Mumbai. Panscholi allegedly roughed up the 19-year-old actress after dragging her out of the rickshaw she was in.
Thursday (February 15):
Kangana gives an interview to a daily claiming Aditya is "possessive" and how "no one close to Aditya can handle his aggressiveness". She even goes on to say that Aditya's 18-year-old daughter Sanaa is like a sister to her.
Friday (February 16):
A friend of Panscholi reveals that the actor is very upset about that particular statement. "Kangana says that Aditya's children are like her siblings. That's utter crap. Aditya and Kangana have been having an affair for the last three-and-a-half years," says the friend, sounding rather angry.
'I love her'
The couple has never admitted to their relationship in print, even though the affair is common knowledge in industry circles. However, a day after Kangana's outburst, a hurting Aditya finally gives in.
"Kangana has been my girlfriend for the last three-and-a-half years, but there is nothing sexual about our relationship. She's a part of my family like I am of hers. Her family thinks I am God.
They are very warm, simple and affectionate people. I am very upset with all the things that are being said about me," says Aditya, referring to Kangana's statement where she says she can't let anyone take possession of her life and turn it into a nightmare.
Aditya says he doesn't want to react to Kangana's verbal lashing, but adds, "I am an emotional fool. I care for Kangana deeply. I love her. Jeene do bechari ko. I can never speak ill about her.
When I asked Kangana about the things she had said about me in the press, she denied saying them. If she says she hasn't said them, I believe her," says the besotted 40-year-old actor.
Positive outlook
The actor says he was worried more about his children's reaction to reports of his violence towards Kangana than anything else. He says, "When I asked my daughter Sanaa whether her friends were talking about this, she coolly told me, 'You shouldn't bother about it, dad.' Zarina (Wahab, his wife) too has been rock solid. In fact, Kangana is most upset by this."
Meanwhile, a friend of Panscholi adds, "Kangana is badmouthing Aditya because she doesn't need him anymore. Now that she has become relatively successful, it has become easier for her to dump him."
But Aditya believes she's still the sweet 15-year-old he first met in her hometown in Himachal Pradesh. He says, "Kangana once confided to me that she had always wanted to become a doctor but gave it up as she couldn't cope with the studies.
Kangana is a very headstrong girl, but I see that as a positive trait. I shout and create a scene but the next moment I think, 'Maine aisa kyun kiya?' Kangana is very balanced."
Headstrong
Aditya also refuses to take any credit for Kangana's success. He says, "She has always done what she has wanted to. We discuss films and when she asks me about my opinion, I give it to her.
1w2 That's all. I don't give her suggestions or guide her. When she wanted to leave the Bhatt camp, she did it in such a manner that she still remains in their good books. Nobody can say no to Mahesh Bhatt, but she did."
He adds, "People say 'Aditya ne Kangana ko star bana diya'.
If that were the case, wouldn't I have been a bigger star then? Nobody can guide or misguide Kangana. She's got a mind of her own. Many a time she has refused to go for a particular movie with me because she doesn't like that particular genre.
Recently, I asked her to watch The Departed with me but she refused. She doesn't like action films, so I saw the movie on my own.
